SECURITY: Mobile Communications

Mobile Device Security:

No information is stored on the mobile device itself. All information is securely communicated between a mobile device and a BOoOM application server in highly compressed byte-packets per session. Low GSM bandwidth consumption as well as leading-edge communications security are key design features of the BOoOM system.

GSM Communications Security:

  1. RSA (512 bit asymmetrical cipher strength) encryption is used to exchange Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) keys from the device to MyBOoOM.
  2. Once the AES (256 bit symmetrical) keys have been exchanged on both sides, any information passing between them will be encrypted using this AES key.
